At Mindful Psychiatry, ADHD care begins with a comprehensive evaluation, not a quick screening. That matters because trouble concentrating can have more than one source. Sleep, anxiety, low mood, stress at work or school, and physical health can all look like attention problems from the outside. A careful evaluation looks at the whole picture before any conclusion is reached.
Who it is for
Stephanie Ball, PMHNP-BC, evaluates children age six and up as well as adults. Some people are parents noticing a pattern in a child. Others are adults who have wondered for years whether ADHD explains why some things feel harder than they should. If you tried treatment before and it did not help, that history is useful information, so bring it.
What the first visit looks like by video
Most people start with a free 15-minute consultation to see whether the practice is the right fit. The comprehensive evaluation is a full 60-minute visit by secure video, covering your history, what is happening now, and what you want to be different. You can join from anywhere in Missouri. Afterward you get diagnostic clarity, options explained in plain language, and a written plan built around your goals, followed by 30-minute check-ins as needed.

Treatment is individualized, and medication may or may not be part of a plan. Any prescribing decision, including controlled substances, is made only when clinically appropriate after a comprehensive evaluation and in accordance with state and federal regulations. No specific medication is promised in advance.
