Depression treatment by telehealth

Low mood, exhaustion, or numbness can stop feeling temporary and start taking over your days. That is a good time to talk with someone.

What depression care looks like here

Depression can show up as sadness, but also as losing the desire to engage with things you used to care about, as physical and mental exhaustion, or as a flat numbness. Care at Mindful Psychiatry starts with a full evaluation, then a plan developed with you and reviewed together at regular check-ins. The plan is meant to change as you do.

Who it helps

Stephanie Ball, PMHNP-BC, sees patients across the lifespan, from age six through the end of life, anywhere in Missouri. That includes people who have tried treatment before without the result they hoped for. A past plan that did not work is not a dead end. It usually tells us where to start.

The first visit, from home

When energy is low, getting to an office can feel like one more obstacle. Here, every visit is by secure video. Start with a free 15-minute consultation. The comprehensive evaluation is 60 minutes and covers your history, your current situation, and what you want to be different. You come away with diagnostic clarity and a written plan in plain language, followed by 30-minute check-ins.

Treatment options

Depending on what you need, a plan may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy with talk-based CBT and mindfulness, or a combination. If labs are clinically appropriate, they are coordinated through Quest Diagnostics or your primary care provider.

Common questions

Before you book.

If your question is not here, book the free consultation and ask. No commitment either way.

What if antidepressants did not work for me before?
That history is useful. What was tried, at what dose, for how long, and how it felt all help narrow down the next step. Bring the details.
How often will we meet?
After the 60-minute evaluation, follow-ups are 30-minute check-ins. How often depends on what you need, not a set schedule.
What if I am in crisis right now?
Please do not wait for an appointment. Call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
